Where are you from?

Chile and Brazil. However, as part of a circus family, we have always traveled. It's part of what we do and who we are.  We were five years old when we debuted our juggling act in Australia.  Our childhood was pretty fun and we have enjoyed visiting and performing in many countries around the world.

How did you get involved with circus life?

Well, we were born in the circus. We are the fifth generation of our family to perform in the circus, so it’s really what we have known our entire lives. We can't envision ourselves doing anything else!

Reyes Brothers smallTell us about your act.

We take great pride in our juggling act and practice a great deal to make sure our skills are always in top shape.  As a duo, we present our skills in a unique way that combines juggling and acrobatics. One of the highlights is that we cross 10 juggling clubs that kind of look like bowling pins. And then, in our finale trick, we do something that no one else in the world does! One of us climbs a pole that is supported on the other's shoulders and does juggling from a platform about 20 feet high.  It's very hard to describe, but audiences love it!   As brothers, we are very much in sync with each other, which is very important for what we do. Timing and coordination are everything with juggling!

What makes Circus Vazquez so unique and special?

We are so happy to be a part of Circus Vazquez and their amazing new show. Working with so many incredible performers is just a fantastic opportunity. Circus Vazquez originally started in Mexico in 1969, so it’s very famous in South America--long before it began performing in the United States.  So, it’s always been a dream of ours to be here one day, because without a doubt Circus Vazquez is one of the best circuses in the world!

What are your hobbies and interests outside the circus?

We both really like to play futbol, or as you call it in America, soccer! It’s fun, but also keeps us in shape. That's important, because the way we perform is very physical, so in a way we have to train very much like athletes.
